Summer '21 fashion? You heard it here first. Here's the rundown on what we predict will be the hottest hits of this summer. Now whether these trends are HOT, or ABSOLUTELY NOT, that's up to you to decide!

The first hot item of this summer is (drumroll please…) CROCHET TOPS! With the popularity of TikTok and its immense influence on fashion trends, there have been countless tutorials and flexing of hand-crocheted clothing items. Ranging from

halter tops to tube tops to even tote bags, crochet fashion has arrived just in time for hot weather. Last summer we saw embroidery taking the lead in hand-made fashion, with self-embroidered patterns or logos on thick sweatshirts and hoodies. This summer, we're excited to see crochet fashion hit the streets! Linked below are some tutorials on how to make your very own crochet summer top -- that is, of course, if you are more talented in crafts than myself. retro floral halter dress

Pattern-wise, we've been seeing a much anticipated preview of summer attire with a "retro floral print". This combination of simple floral print, with a retro vintage flair to it completely hits the bulls eye for y2k fashion- a fashion term referring to "year 2000" trends. This pattern is the type of design you can find in early 2000's movies like "Mean Girls" or even "Clueless'. This retro floral pattern is popular on, but not limited to, bikinis, halter tops, dresses and skirts! 2020-2021 has been the year of vintage, throwback to the 00's fashion, and retro floral is my personal favorite addition so far!

Another type of clothing coming in hot this summer includes graphic hoodies with large slogan prints on the back. While hoodies traditionally feature larger prints in the front and have empty backs, recent trends have reversed the roles. With fun and positive slogans like "Protect your peace", "Love that for you", "Be your own happy", these hoodies carry ALL the good vibes we're bridging into summer '21.

So far, this has been a simple rundown on predicted trends as we head into the month of June-- some trends are to DIE for, while others, are better left in spring.
