Spring in Washington is calm, peaceful, and vibrant. Even with gloomy days, spring colors will always bring some happiness and joy into your life. The same goes for fashion. Studies have shown that a “feel-good chemical” or dopamine influences feelings of reward and motivation, allowing us to feel good about a particular outfit or style. If you want that same “feel-good chemical” here are some fashion trends for the spring season.

Baggy Jeans

Loose-fitting denim tends to be more comfortable to wear than tight skinny jeans. For not-too-hot spring and summer days, you can reach for a light wash option and wear it with an eyelet top and chunky sandals for a sweet, seasonal look.

We already knew prairiecore was going to be a major spring fashion trend. The style originated as an adaptation of high fashion to the practicalities of rural life in the Western United States. Smocked bodices, high necklines, and puffed sleeves are other popular characteristics.

Women’s denim overalls have been a popular fashion trend for many years and are still here to stay in 2023. Pastel overalls are always popular in the spring, so consider pariring a light blue top with a white or cream colored bottom. Another way to style overalls in the spring is to roll up the hems.
